Pitching Wang Dang Doodles since 2014
Wang Dang Doodle...WHat does it even mean?
To a pitch a wang dang doodle is to have a good old fashioned Saturday night filled with drunken revelry, which may include but is not limited to fighting, dancing, singing and the like.
The Wang Dang Doodle is a rocking blues trio based in South London with Laurent Mouflier on harp/vocals, Kosmas Mylon on electric guitar, Francesco Cuturi on drums. Playing around pubs, clubs and festivals, the band quickly developed a reputation for their high adrenaline shows combined with great musicianship and skills.
The band played in the past as side musicians for the likes of Mick Taylor (the stones), Ronnie Wood (the faces, the stones), The Pretty Things, Ian Siegal, Nine below Zero… They also worked within studios and organizations such as Metropolis and Musician Union.
Influenced by the blues masters, they set upon playing the blues across UK and Europe and soon, started to work on their own music. Inspired by heavier sounds, the band’s debut EP was released with songs written such as Easy strut and City of night.
Awesome blues fun. Great musicianship and vocals from this band as they swung out some blues classics. Delivered with energy and passion, Ray Drury's fingers were a blur on the piano as Laurent Mouflier's lips flew over the harmonica. Their thumping cover of 'Don't Bite The Hand That Feeds You' being my stand out track of the evening. The audience were up and dancing for the whole set and the band seemed to be having as much fun on stage. Unpretentious, lively and we were grinning from start to finish - a great gig!
We are the Wang Dang Doodle.
